“Masks of Michigan: A Series of Portraits That Speak to the Year” Book

Throughout 2020 I traveled across Michigan documenting people as they dealt with all that the ver changing and difficult year brought. From first responders, teachers, political figures, protestors from dozens of different causes, attendees of political rallies across the political spectrum, militia members, and people just roaming the streets.

With all the perspectives and polarization that 2020 brought, the one thing that united each person in this series is that when we met, they were wearing a mask that shared a perspective of a tumultuous year.
